Groundbreaking cancer imaging trial begins using advanced PET scanner

The next step for research featured in a recent UAR video "Growing cancer in chicken eggs". Usually, preclinical research of this nature would be carried out using mice. However, researcher's at King's College London found a novel way to use fertilised chicken eggs instead, proving that this type of research can be carried out in early stage embryos and does not require an adult mammallian animal.
