The Simple Changes Improving Lives of Lab Rodents: The 3Hs Initiative
A new series, filmed by the UAR team, dives deep into Professor Emma Robinson's research at the University of Bristol. In the first of two of films, we discover how her pioneering new initiative, The 3Hs, is improving the lives of laboratory rodents. By addressing three core issues in husbandry - handling, housing and habituation - the program aims to reduce animal stress and increase their positive affective experiences.
