Free course on science communication

women–speakerphone.jpgThe National Science Learning Centre in York is offering a fantastic opportunity to improve your science communication skills with a two-day course on engagement with schools and young people on 18-19 October 2010.

The course will explore the characteristics of effective engagement and challenge and support you in developing exciting activities. It could transform the way you talk to young people (and others) about animal research.

Places are available on a first-come-first served basis so you will have to be quick. There is a £50 fee which you can re-claim after attending the NSLC's Contemporary Science Conference in June. If you are a UAR schools volunteer (or willing to become one) we can pay the fee for you, so long as you let us know before you apply. All you have to do in return is promise to use some of your brilliant ideas to help young people better understand animal research. We have plenty of schools who want to hear from you.
