Top three animals used in scientific research
In the UK many different animals are used in scientific research to help us learn about human and animal health and disease so that we can develop new medicines that are safe and effective. But which animals are used the most? In this video we explain which three animals are used the most in scientific research, and why. It’s important to remember that animals are only used in research when a validated non-animal alternative is not available.
