Testing artificial blood-vessels in pigs

The human veins transplanted during a heart bypass have a limited lifespan. It is possible that artificial blood-vessels made from cells seeded onto an artificial membrane could be used instead. Here a pig receives artificial blood-vessels to test and develop this possibility.
