Finding vaccines against swine influenza virus

Dr Elma Tchilian from The Pirbright Institute discusses the search for an effective vaccine against swine flu, a close relative of human flu. Swine flu makes the pig ill and can lead to secondary disease that can kill the pig. It also causes economic losses. Pigs are a very good model for humans because their immune systems respond in a similar way to humans against flu.
