The European Commission's Joint Research Centre (JRC) has published a second edition of its European Reference Laboratory for Alternatives (EURL Ecvam) to Animal Testing search guide.
The updated version is designed to help scientists and authorities find alternatives to animal testing more easily by suggesting search terms, providing checklists for research projects, and giving examples of search procedures.
The EURL ECVAM Search Guide has been specifically developed to inform and support untrained database users to find high quality information on relevant alternative strategies and methods to animal experiments in an easy, yet systematic, efficient and effective way. Encouraged by the success of the first edition in 2012 the JRC has re-published an entirely updated second version.
Free copies of the guide are available from the EU bookshop.
