schools-poster-competition.jpgOn Monday 19th September, 17 organisations and 50 science teachers from schools around London gathered here at Charles Darwin House to share and discuss biology resources at the Big Biology Give-Away. The UAR education team were of course there and met many teachers, giving them a copy of our brand new resources CD, our poster and other UAR resources. Lots of teachers also signed up to have a visit from a speaker this year and John and I are looking forward to going out and meeting them again as well as introducing them to our brilliant volunteer speakers.

The Big Biology Give-Away was hosted by the British Ecological Society, Society of Biology, Biochemical Society and Science Learning Centres London. The evening was a great success and we are looking forward to similar events where we hope to meet more teachers and support them in their teaching about animals in medical research.

If you are interested in speaking in schools with UAR, have any resource ideas, or would like a copy of the resources CD please get in touch with Alex at ajenkin@uar.org.uk
