Education and Outreach Manager
Understanding Animal Research (UAR) is looking for an energetic, enthusiastic graduate to help drive forward its volunteer speaking programme in schools.
The successful candidate will be a committed supporter of the humane use of animals for medical research with a passion for communication. They will enjoy public speaking and science writing and will be keen to experiment with new ideas and approaches in classrooms and workshops.
This is a very people-directed role and excellent communication skills are essential as well as a willingness to engage positively with critical opinion. The candidate will need to promote our programmes in schools, industry and academia and to maintain good relations with a growing number of volunteers.
This is a full-time role and you will be based in our London office but be expected to travel within the UK as necessary to talk in schools and elsewhere. Salary is £22,000-£25,000 per annum, depending on experience.
