The UAR Council is delighted to announce that, following a rigorous selection process, we have recruited David Pruce as Interim Chief Executive to ensure that our important work continues and thrives.

David is a pharmacist and worked at the Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain until the end of 2009, latterly as Director of Policy and Communications. He set up his own consultancy in 2010 advising a range of clients, from the pharmaceutical industry to innovative technology companies, on policy matters.

David Pruce said 'I am delighted to be joining UAR at such an important stage of its development. UAR has a significant role in helping the public understand the vital part that animal research plays in the development of new treatments for patients. I look forward to working with the Council and the membership to ensure that public support for high quality animal research is maintained and that the regulatory environment for animal research is appropriate.'
