I would like to join Understanding Animal Research for free as an associate. I support the mission and agree with all the statements below.

I believe that:

  • Biomedical research is essential for scientific advance and for understanding the body in health and disease, as well as developing new medical and veterinary treatments.
  • This research can require some studies using animals.
  • Research using animals must be of high quality, humanely conducted, well designed, properly peer reviewed, ethically justified, at the same time making every reasonable effort to reduce, refine and replace animal use.

NB: any individual may join Understanding Animal Research as an associate. Associates will receive the monthly email update, which will replace the printed RDS News. They may also be invited to events or meetings, or to take part in activities, via the monthly email update.

However, associates will not have any legal status, and will not attend the AGM. Individuals can terminate their associate status by unsubscribing from the newsletter.
